The anticipated 2026 Wed Society Birmingham + Central Alabama Book of Weddings has arrived, and we celebrated the second edition in a way that felt every bit as special as the wedding community it represents. Surrounded by the talented wedding professionals who make Birmingham + Central Alabama such an extraordinary place to get married, we gathered for an unforgettable evening of celebration, connection and, of course, plenty of inspiration.

Hosted at The Theodore by Tre Luna, the evening was thoughtfully planned by The Southern Planner, creating an experience that felt elevated, intentional and full of personality from the moment guests arrived. Every detail was designed to showcase the creativity and craftsmanship of the vendors who make up the Wed Society Birmingham + Central Alabama community.

The celebration began with a beautifully curated welcome experience, with custom invitations and stationery by Ledgewood Fine Stationery setting the tone for the evening. Hayes Floral brought the space to life with lush, artful florals that complemented Theodore’s sophisticated setting, while Decor to Adore and Savvy Events created a layered and memorable design experience through thoughtfully selected décor and rentals.

And then came the experiences. Guests were treated to an evening designed to engage every sense. Melissa Warnke Candles created a custom perfume bar, giving guests the opportunity to explore a little luxury of their own. Book Caviar Crush elevated cocktail hour with roving caviar service, adding an unexpected touch of indulgence to the celebration.

Behind the bar, Tre Luna Catering kept guests refreshed while also helping create the evening’s elevated culinary experience. For those looking to settle in and savor the evening, The Mobile Herf brought a bourbon and cigar lounge that felt right at home in the Birmingham setting. Together, these experiences showcased the thoughtful hospitality and Southern sophistication that make celebrations in our market so memorable.

Music filled the room throughout the evening, with AMP’D Entertainment keeping the celebration moving and the Cahaba River String Quartet adding an elegant live-music element. Guests were also treated to a gorgeous bridal fashion show featuring Bella Bridesmaids Birmingham and Bellas Bridal, bringing the latest in bridal style directly into the celebration.

No detail was overlooked. From the beauty team of Styled x Paige and Hannah Christian MUA to the luxury LED poster walls by Superior Sound Entertainment, every element contributed to an evening that felt immersive and distinctly Birmingham. Parking Professionals ensured guests arrived and departed with ease, while Crowne Jewelers added a little extra sparkle with a diamond necklace giveaway that became one of the night’s most exciting moments.

At the center of the celebration was a beautiful cake from Olexa’s Café, accompanied by delicate macarons from Inbetween Macs. Guests could enjoy each sweet detail while taking in a live painting by Simplie Kimmie, who transformed the celebration into a piece of art right before their eyes.

The entire evening was beautifully captured by Defining Moments Media, with Content by Gabie and Bree Does Social documenting the celebration as it unfolded. Their work allows us to relive not only the big moments, but also the little details, joyful reactions and connections that made the night so meaningful.

But the most important moment of the evening was the official reveal of the 2026 Book of Weddings.

For our second edition, we knew the cover needed to do more than showcase a beautiful wedding. It needed to tell a story about Birmingham + Central Alabama and reflect the incredible depth of talent within our local wedding community. This cover wedding represents the creativity, hospitality, artistry and heart that couples can find right here in our market. It is a celebration of what happens when exceptional vendors come together with a shared vision—and a reminder that some of the most extraordinary wedding inspiration can be found in our own backyard.

Choosing this wedding for the cover was a celebration of that very spirit. It captures the beauty of the weddings happening across Birmingham + Central Alabama while also shining a light on the talented professionals behind them. From the design and florals to the photography, fashion and countless details that bring a wedding day to life, this celebration embodies the kind of collaboration that makes our market so special.
