Southeastern Jewelers
Southeastern Jewelers
Southeastern Jewelers, a family owned and operated business has been serving Birmingham since 1952. Owner and life-long Birmingham resident, Louis G. Steed began his career as a bench jeweler performing repair work for jewelry stores throughout the Southeast. Therefore, when he decided to open his own store in 1952, Southeastern Jewelers seemed the perfect name. Louis and his wife Peggy have two sons, Mike and David Steed. As young men, both sons served and worked as apprentices and upon finishing school both started full-time at the store.
