Wed Society Birmingham + Central Alabama Connect 2026: An Evening of Elevated Connection

On March 10th, the Birmingham + Central Alabama wedding community gathered for Wed Society Connect 2026, an evening dedicated to celebrating the creatives behind our local wedding industry. Hosted at Kress BHM located in Downtown Birmingham, the event carried an elevated atmosphere, where classic black and white details were paired with soft blush accents and pops of champagne for a look that felt both sophisticated and celebratory.

The evening was thoughtfully planned by Sarah Sullins Weddings, who designed a seamless experience that allowed guests to connect, mingle, and enjoy the night’s carefully curated details.

Guests arrived to a warm welcome from Parking Professionals, whose valet service ensured an effortless arrival before stepping inside the iconic venue.

The event’s visual identity began with beautifully designed invitations and signage by Ledgewood Fine Stationery. From elegant invitation suites to sponsor signage and bar details, every printed element added a refined layer of design to the evening.

Inside, the space came to life with thoughtfully selected rentals from Decor to Adore, who provided crisp linens, elegant glassware, highboy tables, drapery, and statement columns that created a polished foundation for the evening’s design. A stunning champagne display also became one of the most eye-catching features of the room, perfectly complementing the event’s elevated aesthetic.

Lounge furniture and stage seating from Savvy Events Auburn added another layer of style to the space, with soft blush accent pillows bringing warmth and contrast to the classic black-and-white palette.

Florals by The Ivory Orchid brought romantic texture to the space, balancing the bold black-and-white palette with soft, organic blooms.

Guests enjoyed an incredible culinary experience throughout the evening. Iz Weddings and Events greeted attendees with passed appetizers including tomato pies and savory cheesecake spoons. Tre Luna Catering served a delicious menu featuring boneless braised beef short ribs, parmesan polenta, early spring asparagus tips, and house-made focaccia. Tina’s Market added crowd-favorite bites with fire crackers and caramelized onion dip alongside turkey sliders with pesto aioli, as well as their signature Little T’s Specialty Cakes for a sweet bite guests loved.

Drinks flowed throughout the night thanks to Premium Pours, who served the evening’s signature Orange Blossom Fizz—available as a refreshing mocktail or cocktail —alongside a full coffee bar featuring iced and hot coffee with a variety of syrups and creamers.

Sweet moments were provided by Pen & Pastry, whose beautifully displayed cakes served as both a centerpiece and a treat for guests to take home. Nancy Jane’s Bakes added another delightful detail with monochrome custom cookies that were as charming as they were delicious.

Entertainment from AMP’D Entertainment kept the energy high throughout the evening, creating the perfect soundtrack for connection and celebration.

Guests also enjoyed interactive experiences throughout the space, including personalized poetry written on the spot by Love, Girl Tyler, offering attendees a meaningful keepsake from the evening. Bone & Arrow Designs added another special touch with an earring bar where guests could browse beautiful jewelry pieces.

Playful marquee moments from Say It In Lights added a glowing statement to the event design and quickly became a favorite photo backdrop.

The evening was beautifully documented by KB Carr Photography, capturing every candid moment and detail throughout the night. Behind the scenes, Content by Gabie gathered social media content while Allen Studio Co. filmed the event, ensuring the creativity and energy of Connect 2026 will live on long after the evening ended.

The evening also featured an engaging panel on stage, where AL Weddings, Cole Buys Designs, Tre Luna Catering, and Parking Professionals shared insights, tips, and stories from their experiences in the Birmingham + Central Alabama wedding industry, offering attendees a behind-the-scenes look at what makes each of their businesses thrive. Their conversation sparked ideas, inspiration, and plenty of meaningful discussion throughout the night.

At its heart, Wed Society Connect is about community. It’s a night where the vendors behind Birmingham + Central Alabama’s weddings step away from busy weekends to reconnect, build new relationships, and celebrate the creativity that makes this industry so special.

From elevated design to meaningful conversations shared throughout the room, Connect 2026 was a beautiful reminder of the power of collaboration within the Birmingham + Central Alabama wedding community.
